So in the 5 years that I was studying I was surrounding with the hard core of Dutch feminism (Anja became, by the way, later my supervisor on a youth centre I worked). Being one of the only man (if you can call me a man as pacifist) I was of course the personification of all the bad energy of the world, I was the man responsible for misusing women in house hold, raping them on the streets, under paying them and a lot more. Today the Autonomous Women Centre of Zagreb lent me 4000 Dm for some projects in Hercegovina, for which I hope to raise money soon, but wasn't able up to now. The women centre in Zagreb can be considered as one of the centres of top feminism in Croatia. And they lent money to a man (or am I not a man, but a undangerous pacifists). Hope you understand are relationships within the movement in Zagreb, we help each other out. In my case I helped them to get in contact with the women truck drivers from Women for Peace from Manchester to transport Humanitarian aid for them. Not particular women are the guys in town today, tonight there is a football match between Croatia (Dynamo Zagreb as we all know it) and Hajduk Split, the two top football teams in the country. For the first time in months I saw a flock of drunken HOS soldiers going through the city, shouting and screaming. And of course hundreds of other soldiers came to town especially for this match. It promise to be a nice match between the BBB (Bad Bleu Boys, fan club from Dynamo) and the Torcidas from Split, the newspapers already blow up the match, although Hajduk if they win can't win the championship anymore. I will listening to the screaming from the stadium to night, I think it will be unquiet in the city till late at night. Another good thing today is the fact that HVO, BiH armija and UNPROFOR have formed a joint search operation to find those bandits stealing and robbing those humanitarian aid convoys in middle Bosnia the last days, this is probably the first time that they work together all three of them, an unicum in the war so far. All of the parties involved are furious about what happened. Stealing Humanitarian convoys is one thing, but killing the drivers is something different, nobody wants to be related to this. On the same moment Astrid and Tibor went down by bus in the hope to get to Tuzla, which put some black spots on the good news. Since both of them knew what happened, but want to go anyway. Another good thing and I still am trembling about it is for me at least a small wonder. Wednesday next week a camera team from the USA program "Prime Time Live" will come to Zagreb, to film, and you can't imagine it, my computer. They are coming to make an item about the use of electronic mail in former Yugoslavia, last week it was a German film crew and next week the USAmerican, our network computer as well as my small laptop are getting famous (I will be able to sell my laptop soon for a higher price than I bought it for as the computer on which the "famous" diary is written). I am really trilled by the idea that one of my dreams, the use of Email as communication sources between groups in countries as war is getting on the USAmerican networks. And I hope that my diary get's published soon in the states, since maybe it can be a big help to get funds for all the groups who are involved. I must thank all the people involved in the networks to make this possible, especially those from APC (Association for Progressive Communication), but also all my readers and all those people who have reacted in the past on my cries for help. If you wouldn't have supported me, without really knowing who I am it never would come this far. It makes the few hours a day I spend behind the computer worth it. If nobody out there would react I would have stopped a long time ago. To enjoy the feeling a bit I went with Vesna into the town to check out the bookstores, there are now two free publications on the market, beside ARKzin also Feral Tribune lays in the bookstores and kiosks, you had to see Vesna's face when we were in a bookstore and somebody bought a number of ARKzin. The selling is actual a lot better than anybody could imagine. Feral Tribune is by the way in big financial problems, the money they got for the first numbers is finito and soon new money sources has to be found for them to keep them going. They already more or less let the word go out that the would like to have a talk with me about co-operation and helping them with some fund-raising. Since Europe seems to be drying out in funds, not so much is coming from our helpful sources in the beginning we are putting our eyes to those on the other side of the big water. This earlier mentioned television item is hopefully for us a good start to pick up fund-raising in the states. We already got a message from some group willing to help us with the children magazine HELP, but there are thousand bigger and smaller projects which have to get started as well. Due to the help of the women, by the way I can make it possible to soon a next number of HELP will appear, we have the starting money now and I am sure that the rest will come also soon. So maybe it is going to be a great summer. Americans can also connect IRC (International Rescue Committee) if they like to help us, they are more or less agree to help us in transferring money from the states, so the network is not only the small ones.
