Much more the guy can't say, since the hall in Ireland were the Eurosong festival is held burst open in a long, long applause. They, the group Razna from Sarajevo didn't win the Euro song contests, but my heart was with them. Their song full of oriental influences as so much music from BiH probably don't fit in to the commercial emptiness of the popular music. But it was great, it made my heart jumping up and down. At the same moment the same types of pieps and cracks are coming out of the room of my house mate, he is working, playing, with his radio station and explaining people around the globe what we are doing here. He is not allowed to discuss politics, that is the rule of the HAM radio operators, otherwise they loose their license, but in between the lines it is clear that some kind of politics can't be excluded out of the talks. What do you want if you are broadcasting from here. We also tried to find this French boot again "Droit du Parole", but or they stopped broadcasting or they are broadcasting on another wave length they announced, or .... Anyway both here in Zagreb, as well as in Beograd (we heard via Email) you can't receive it, it seems that the EC has to put in some more money to make it working. We listen to some broadcasting's from the North of BiH, on the same moment that Sarajevo gave their points in between them and us a full offensive is going on. The corridor in northern Bosnian between the Banja Luka area and Serbia, which is at some place not more than a few kilometres wide is ground for this offensive, the referendum is not over yet, but the answer is clear, it will be a strong NO, up to now they said nobody have voted in fever of the plan (it looks like that Karazdic will be the only YES voter). I am worried about Joseph and Elu who are in Tuzla, just a few kilometres away from the place were the offensives has started. They say on the radio that a full scale offensive is launch with all the playtoys of the Bosnian Serbian army and para military groups. It is obvious that soon according the messages we get here, the NATO will move in and join the fun. I wonder more and more what they really are thinking there in those army HQ of the NATO (I heard outside a couple of minutes ago a automatic gun (and that is a long time ago that I have heard it in Zagreb)). There was by the way just a few hours a whole programme on television of this weapon of the revolutions and guerrilla fighter, the famous Russian k.. The programme was sponsored by Mazda. The last pictures of the film showed how two HVO soldiers destroyed a Muslim flag. Further parts about the RAF, IRA, ETA and guerrilla fighters in South America and Africa. Really a programme for the Saturday afternoon. Also smoke clouds over Mostar again, the fights are continuing. The English UNPROFOR is patrolling over the aid route, but they have a hard time doing it, at more and more places the road are blocked and land mines are laying on the streets, how will they, Joseph and Elu, get back from Tuzla. Hopefully the sky above Mostar will clear up before Tuesday, when Izetbegovic, Tudjman and the Danish minister of foreign affairs will meet in the town. Talking about Mostar, Jasmina told me the story that a few days ago the owner of the hotel in Medjugorje where Terra (Suncokret in BiH) just drove into Mostar to collect her relative and drove out again. Nothing special you think, but it is, at that moment the fighting's went from street to street, 28 persons were killed, over 120 wounded, the UNPROFOR in the armoured cars were kept outside the city by HVO since it was not safe. And somebody drives through the bullets and mortars in her Zatava. The results from the referendum, which it seems nobody abroad takes serious, at least the EC made clear via their spokes minister that they see it as a parody and also the states was very clear in their opinion about it. If we ever experience the results, they say that it will be announced at Wednesday, nobody will be surprised. Karazdic said this morning that if the answer is no, what he believed it will be, he will go back to Owen with a new peace plan. When I was (again shooting outside) walking from Brace Domany into the town this afternoon I had that nice experience again what you have often as citizens from the capital. Suddenly you see police agents stopping all the traffic and directing them to the sides of the road and just at the moment that the drivers get angry from waiting, 5 or 6 motors agent come in top speed with screaming sirens over the middle of the road, a minute later the same amount of BMW's will race over the empty road, the father of all Croats, Dr. Franjo Tudjman, as he is announced every time on the news, passes by. The Queen from the Netherlands drives in an Autobus, but of course she is not so important. I have been told that Tudjman has a fleet of over 200 BMW, he also called his house now the presidential palace. Outside my window, six floor lower in the brook frogs are making a hell of a noise. But better that noise to the dry bangs of a riffle.
