After the final decision of the USA to forget further about their cowboy plans to "bomb the Serbs out of BiH", as an USAmerican statesman put it so bluntly, he made this very emotional speech to the world in English (by the way I saw that Tudjman also speaks English today in a report taken from CNN on HTV). The essence's of the speech was that the world should say plain that they don't give a damned about what is happening to the Bosniers. The plan for the save heavens, or as a lot of people say the ghetto's for the Muslims, seems to be the only result which is left over from al those strong words. Izetbegovic furthermore said that he call up on all his people in his country to defend it, more strongly than ever before. It really sounded that they have given up and don't expect any help from outside anymore. Tudjman reacted also on the speech by saying that the opinions and actions from more radical Muslims only will prolong the war. The moment that Izetbegovic was talking, or at least around that time Sarajevo was again under heavy shelling, I heard via HAM radio that at least 7 people died today, and a lot of people got wounded, among them one of the officials of the government, this happened when the governmental building was in the fire line. On HTV in the news also an interview with a Muslim soldier from which the journalist who interviewed claims that he was named on Sarajevo television as being killed in Mostar. This is an example of such news from which you never know why it is shown. When it is true that Sarajevo television has announced that this man is killed by HVO, we have to believe it since they didn't show that part of Sarajevo television in which they told it, why do they show it in Croatia. There are not many people in Croatia who are able to receive broadcasting's from Sarajevo. Neither are their many people in Sarajevo who receive Croatia television for that matter. In principle they just could have inform BiH government with the question to rectify the earlier message. But now it was shown on HTV for the Croats, you nearly would think to make clear that the Muslims in Sarajevo are lying. I wonder why they didn't take to effort to introduce this interview with the shot of Sarajevo television to take this dumb doubt away that you are more or less watching some form of propaganda all the time. Today it was also the 170th birthday of Ante Starcevic, not that I ever heard his name before, at least I don't remember, but a delegation from, young, HDZ members went to his statute in Zagreb to tribute him with their honour, he was a fighter for the Croatian case in the last century. The flowers thing they put at his feet's was composed mostly out of red and white carnations. And as nearly every Sunday in the last weeks there was again today somewhere in the country a manifestation for official include the new soldiers into HV. The scenery is about always the same a market place or meadow some where in a small town, a few hundred new soldiers, with fresh cut hair, in front of them the commander in chief of HV, this General which look a lot like this bulldog during the Gulfwar from the USA, they must have about the same weight and a kind of year fair around it. I had a glance through a press release from BiH red cross today, they made a report about all the humanitarian aid what was received in BiH and by Muslim refugees in Croatia in the last year. The record of the oldest over date medicines is not held by NeXus, we got some medicines which were out dated in 1973, but by the Mosque in Zagreb, there somebody brought medicines which were already out of date in 1947. From the food which come to Sarajevo the BiH Red Cross says that at least 50% is taken by the Serbian road blocks before it reach the city, during the distribution in the town at least another 20% is disappearing in the end only 30% reach in fact the people of the town. In town of Zepa and Gorazde they have received something like not more than 10 Kilogram of food per person over the whole year. A lot of the airdrop fall in the river or outside the areas which are under control of the town defenders. I told about a year ago about army supplies of the USA army which I saw on the airport in Zagreb, I described them as being in a state in which it was the question if they would start to move themselves (due to the rotting process) or would start to explode. This supplies was indeed brought to Muslim refugees in Croatia. The tension between Slovenia and Croatia is raising again, the Croats have started to build a border post on the border of Slovenia and Istria, near to Buje, the Slovenes claim that the border posts, which the Croats are building is at least 50 meter over the border on their territory. The Slovenes say that the building work has to be stopped until it is clear where the border really is. So there is again high level talks taken place between the two countries.
