Looking back I saw that I forgot the 27 Augusts, according to my notes nothing special happened on that day, but now I can explain why I had the feeling that I lost a day some where last week. My notes showed that I had done something on another day and I couldn't figure out why. So some of the things last week happened on another day or so. I try to do my best. It was relative quiet today, that is if you would call the ongoing shellings of Karlovac, where UNHCR has started to replace 800 refugees from there camp since the shellings are going on for 6 days now. Also a Croatian mig has been shot down above Serbian Krajina in Vrginmost , east of Karlovac, today as far as I could follow it. According the foreign report on Slikom na Slika was it clear that the Mig was used to shoot at Serbian villages. As I follow the growing and destruction of the Croatian airforce I believe that Croatian have lost 33% of their Mig's today, but it also could be the half. Further more Vrginmost is very closeby Zagreb, when I look at the map. I wonder which Serbian Krajina villages they have been attacking. UNPROFOR was very soon after the crash at the spot, they said that the plane was used for an attack at the village, but they couldn't tell anything about the pilot. His body is not found in or around the aeroplane on which you can easily spot the Croatian checker board weapon of arms. On HTV today a lot of bloodshed from Bosnia, this shows according the news a small mostly Croatian village in central Bosnia which is nearly totally murdered today by BiH armija, according to the news at least 20. But in the fights afterwards, during which HVO captured the village the BiH armija had heavy looses. It is a long time ago that they have shown so much blood on HTV. This report came directly after the news of a new agreement between Tudjman and Izetbegovic. When I heard about the agreement I immediately phoned the peace center to found out what they have heard so far, they are working there on ARKzin and when this is hot news they have to change part of their news paper again, like all weekly magazines had to do last weekend, due to the sudden attack from the Krajina Serbs. My first question what Tudjman has to do with the internal politics of the Croats in Hercegovina and if that wouldn't be the task of Boban, nobody of course could answer. Most reacted that it is a kind of pragmatic show of the reality. Never the less the fact that I often try to respect the so called Herceg Bosna republic as independent state, as Croatian as well as Herceg Bosna like to make clear every time the reality is that Tudjman is more or less the upper president of the both of them. Maybe Herceg Bosna is not real a part (yet) of Croatia, Tudjman has more power in that country than their own president Boban. In the constitution of Herceg Bosna, which Feral Tribune published last week in the satirical part already this link was taken into account. We, as Herceg Bosna, may have now our own President, but when the big father don't like that he can also become our (Herceg Bosna) president, nema problema. I should be so critical the results look promising. It calls for an immediately stop of all hostilities between Croats (HVO) and Muslims (BiH armija) in BiH before the 18 th of this months (in 4 days). Second step is the exchange of all P.O.W. and opening of all the prison camps before the 21 th of this month (in a week). Then all road in the territory controlled by HVO and BiH armija should be open for Humanitarian Aid convoys. In following weeks or months working groups will be formed to insure the protection of Human rights on the same territories, further on a working group which will clear which territories belongs to whom (that will not be an easy group) and last but not least a working group will be formed to try to repair the gap between the two different nations. This plan will also make use of the media and culture, our reaction they know our number, we like to help. On television also a film today against the mis-use of drugs. Not only the illegal addictions, like soft and hard drugs, but probably the legal addictions of alcohol and cigarettes will be one of the biggest problem the society of Croatia have to face in the near future. Working with the youth in f.e. Pakrac it is clear that during the war there was not much space for the youth between 12 and 18 years, they grow up in a vacuum, which was filled with a lot more bigger problems than their small adolescent problems. During the war the pubs went on working and who took care when those kids stayed a little longer and drank a little more than good was for their age. The airport in Zagreb seems to be open again, anyway the whole day I heard helicopters and even some heavy aeroplane coming over the city in the direction of the airport. And a commercial on the television to invest in the new shopping center, what is being build at the moment between the main station and Hotel Esplanade, there seems to be a lot of place left, so if you have an idea.....
